When steel bearings cannot survive

Full ceramic bearings carry the load entirely on ceramic rings and balls - no steel anywhere. That gives four properties no steel bearing can match:

• Temperature: ZrO2 to 500 C, Si3N4 to 800 C with suitable retainer/grease-free design
• Corrosion: immune to acids, alkalis, salts and seawater - even molten-metal splash
• Electrical insulation: no arcing damage in VFD-driven motors (shaft-current proof)
• Non-magnetic & lightweight: ~40% of steel density, no magnetic disturbance

Retainer and lubrication options

PTFE, PEEK or no-retainer full-complement designs; dry-running, high-temp grease, or solid lubricant (MoS2) fill. Our engineers size the internal clearance for the real temperature gradient so the bearing does not seize at cold start.
